My grandfater played a TP Mills putter circa mid 1980''s, only then TPM was evidently with Spalding and not Mizuno. The point is this old putter looks and feels similar to my current TPM-3. It is apparent that a lot of experience and time honored knowledge have been carefully crafted into the TPM-3 from what I can tell.
The TP Mills logo on the back was completely wiped out, but the sole engravings are still pretty good. Phase II - The next thing my guy is going to do is swap the necks from the mini and a neck from a Mizuno/TP Mills Workshop III (with the long pipe neck and pencil shaft) to get the pipe neck and pencil shaft welded onto the mini.

For me the 8802 is my putter of choice, or the head shape at least, but I can be quite picky, for me it's all about the offset, needs to have half a shaft or even less. Quote. Mills handmade putters should be $2K putters with the amount of love and labor that goes into them but it is not this current market. I could also argue these are more rare and excusive the any S.C. 009 CT. P.S. David Mills is the the one that made the putter for Mickelson to correct that questionable eBay description more.

Resale on the Lajosi will generally be low, whereas resale on the Dale will generally be high. The Dale sets up much better to my eye and feels better balanced. The DD201 in carbon with a serrated v groove face milling feels exceptional.
Every custom T.P. Mills putter was a welded neck two piece putter back then (excluding concept pieces and unusual prototypes). David can hide a weld like nobody else if he really wanted to. David didn't start doing one piece heads until the 1310 line which I believe came out around the end of 2009.

I've owned them all, including David Mills's "Professional Series" T.P. Mills, Scotty Camerons (Mil-Specs, Circa 62s, Studio Stainless, Pro Platinum), C&L 350 Milled, Ping, and on and on. But my Mizuno TPM #9 beats them all on the green. It has a gooseneck, and toe hang is at about 3:30-4:00, so it's not quite face balanced.
Cameron putters are made in more volume and are CNC Milled while TP Mills putters are made in much less volume and have more hand work done on them. TP Mills putters are made by David Mills in his shop in Tuscaloosa. One thing for certain is that if you order a TP Mills putter, David Mills will handle and work on your putter.
